She has practiced in inpatient and private settings, providing a well-rounded perspective on mental health care.
Melissa’s career in mental health counseling is deeply rooted in her personal experiences and innate desire to support others. Growing up, she witnessed the challenges faced by those around her and experienced them herself, fostering a profound sense of empathy. She views her work as a calling and finds joy in providing an opportunity for patients develop coping strategies, and reclaim control over their lives and feel better.
For Melissa, the most rewarding aspect of her work is witnessing transformation in her patients as a result of treatment. She thrives on empowering people to recognize their inner strength and resilience. Melissa’s empathetic and adaptive approach to behavioral health ensures that each patient’s journey is met with understanding and support tailored to their unique needs.
Outside of her professional life, Melissa is an avid reader and animal lover who lives with four dogs and two cats. She enjoys puzzles, video games, and other activities that challenge her mind and spark creativity.
