Katelyn Humann is a Licensed Master Social Worker and Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) on our Integrated Behavioral Health team. BHCs at Community Care Physicians are licensed mental health providers and social workers. Many are embedded within our practices working side by side with your doctor and health care team in delivering you the best “whole person” healthcare possible. Katelyn is a member of the National Association of Social Workers.

Katelyn’s experience includes individual, vocational rehabilitation counseling, and strengths-based counseling. She has treated anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, and coping skills. Katelyn previously worked as a school social worker, where she provided consultation, student observations, and resource information to school staff on all things student mental health and wellness. She also worked as a Behavioral Health Therapist/Care Coordinator and collaborated care for behavioral health needs and resource connections for children and families. Moreover, Katelyn provided vocational guidance and counseling to individuals with disabilities, significant physical or mental health needs, and finding and maintaining employment.

Katelyn always knew she wanted to help others and make the world a better place from a young age. Since majoring in social work, her goal was to work in the behavioral health and counseling field. She has been fortunate enough to have many experiences in different areas of the field in areas such as youth services, hospice care, vocational rehabilitation, education/student services, and behavioral health. Katelyn believes that mental health is just as important as physical health. She loves making a difference in someone’s life by helping them to achieve their goals and improve their overall quality of life.

Outside work, Katelyn enjoys creating art, golfing, fishing, swimming, traveling, and exploring Upstate New York.
