Biography

Jacqueline Bove is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and works as a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) on our Integrated Behavioral Health team. BHCs at Community Care Physicians are licensed mental health providers and social workers. Many are embedded within our practices working side by side with your doctor and health care team in delivering you the best “whole person” healthcare possible.

Jacqueline has an ongoing desire for professional development, and as a result, she actively participates in administrative and supervisory roles to support the rapidly expanding Integrated Behavioral Health department at CCP.

Jacqueline’s idea of counseling is working towards improving one’s quality of life and daily level of functioning. She has advanced training in solution-focused therapy, grief and loss, pandemic stressors, motivational interviewing, telehealth distance therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy and has experience working with all behavioral health disorders including, but not limited to substance use, anxiety, depression, stress management, adjustment disorders, PTSD/trauma, change of life events, ADHD, parenting concerns, and many others. As a Behavioral Health Consultant, she enjoys utilizing her skills to meet clients where they are by engaging in person-centered and strengths-based approaches. Jacqueline’s prior counseling experience includes working at a psychiatric hospital that incorporated dialectical behavioral therapies for individual and group treatment for a variety of mental health disorders.

Jacqueline has served on the Board of Directors for the New York Mental Health Counselors Association (NYMHCA). Jacqueline is a strong advocate for the mental health field and participates annually at NYMHCA’s Lobby Day to promote access to mental health. She has also participated in live and virtual presentations throughout New York State on various mental and behavioral health topics. And she maintains professional memberships with the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA), New York Mental Health Counselors Association (NYMHCA), Collaborative Family Healthcare Association (CFHA), and the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI).

Outside work, she enjoys reading books, exploring coffee shops, volunteering, and traveling.
